Indigenous Photography and Decolonization

This course examines the relationship Indigenous Peoples have had with photography as a culturally productive technology since its development. The course is specifically attentive to the agency and experiences of Indigenous Peoples in the global context as producers, subjects and viewers of archival, and contemporary vernacular and artistic photography. Prereq.: Minimum 18 University credits (lec 3) 3 cr. Students cannot retain credit for both ANTR 4306 and ANTR 3306.
