Film in Spain and Latin-America

This course is a survey of Spanish American and Peninsular culture through cinema. Outstanding films made in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Mexico and/or Spain will be viewed with the purpose of reading these films as products of their cultural, social, political, and historical contexts. Classes are in English. Students doing a Minor, a Major or Specialization in Spanish submit course work in Spanish to fulfil degree requirements.
